The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite applications for the post of ICT Project Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic team that function at a strategic level and manage a variety of local and national ICT and business projects through the full solutions lifecycle, with a key role in positioning ICT as an enabler for creating a modern and agile fire and rescue service.
We welcome confident, creative and motivated self-starters who generate and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders across the Service whilst ensuring tailor-made and customer/business focussed support is provided which aligns with the strategic aims of the Service. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are therefore essential.
The post holder will use innovative and industry recognised project management methodologies to provide support, guidance and leadership in complex projects. Applicants must be educated to degree level in an appropriate discipline and hold Prince 2 Practitioner or equivalent qualifications with the ability to demonstrate extensive experience of managing ICT technical, development or system implementation projects.
The role requires a flexible approach and will involve some travel across the Service.
The successful applicant will thrive within this vibrant and energetic team. The base location for the post is flexible and can be based at either ICT Hub at Johnstone, Glasgow or Newbridge, Edinburgh.

Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review - in line with the SFRS performance appraisal arrangements. A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.
