The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are delighted to invite applications for the post of ICT Support Analyst based at Newbridge or Inverness. This is a part-time opportunity, working 17.5 hours per week, hours of work will be flexible.


The post holder will provide a high quality and customer focused second line support service to all end users in line with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and the industry standard ITIL framework.  You will also contribute to the development and implementation of ICT strategies, policies and procedures associated to the ICT Local Support Teams.


Educated to an HNC level in an ICT related subject or equivalent experience, you should be technically fluent in the installation, configuration and support of Microsoft and Apple desktop operating systems and have knowledge of networking infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, VPN etc.  An ability to work flexibly and effectively as part of a team is also essential.


Applicants should note that there is a requirement to participate on a 24/7 on call working pattern.

Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review - in line with the SFRS performance appraisal arrangements. A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.
