The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite applications for the post of SDA Support Assistant, based in the North Service Delivery Area Headquarters, Dyce on a permanent basis. This is a part-time opportunity, working 17.5 hours per week however, applications from individuals seeking to work on a flexible working basis would be considered.
The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly in a key business support role to provide high quality and sustainable business support to local Service Delivery Area Management Teams within Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray Service Delivery Area when required.
Previous experience of working within a busy general office environment and a working knowledge of Microsoft Packages, in particular Word and Excel is essential. Experience of taking minutes is also required.
You should be able to work on your own initiative, prioritise your own workload and be able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-changing environment whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail. You will need to be self-motivated and possess excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills in addition to a flexible approach. A strong awareness of confidentiality is also essential.

Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review - in line with the SFRS performance appraisal arrangements. A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.
