The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite applications for the post of SDA Support Assistant, based in East SDA Headquarters, Newbridge on a permanent basis. This is a full-time opportunity, working 35 hours per week however, applications from individuals seeking to work on a part time, job share or flexible working basis would be considered.


The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly in a key business support role to provide high quality and sustainable business support to local Service Delivery Area Management Teams.


Previous experience of working within a busy general office environment and a working knowledge of Microsoft Packages, particularly and Excel are essential. Experience of taking minutes is also required.


You should be able to work on your own initiative, prioritise your own workload and be able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-changing environment whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail. You will need to be self-motivated and have excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills coupled with a flexible approach. A strong awareness of confidentiality is also essential.
