Barnardos Scotland Fostering Glasgow is looking to add a 4 days (29.6 hours) a week enthusiastic and dynamic qualified social worker to our well established team.

The successful applicant will be attached to our Glasgow office in Pollokshaws, with the opportunity to work flexibly and practice blended working which will involve a combination of office and home based working. Face to face working is currently being undertaken according to guidance. Social workers also participate in duty and a Scotland -wide Helpline service to provide carers with support 24 hours a day and 365 days per year.

BSFG has a staff of 22 and works with approximately 60 carers and 70 children and young people.

We are registered with the Care Inspectorate to work with children and young people referred to us by Local Authorities throughout Scotland on a short break, emergency, interim and permanent basis. We are also registered to provide continuing care, encouraging young people to remain in their homes until adulthood

The successful applicant will be working as part of a team of foster carers; social workers; children's workers, a child psychotherapist; art therapist and educational liaison worker to deliver a high quality service.

We support children and young people aged 0–21, many of whom have experienced significant trauma or adversity using our integrated services and dedicated support, to provide a safe and stable environment.
