Barnardos Youth Involvement Project in Easterhouse is currently recruiting staff to join our self-directed support (SDS) team. Successful candidates will support children and young people who have been assessed as having additional support needs. As part of your role, you will assist families to develop and implement care plans which meet the needs of the child or young person in a way which promotes dignity, inclusion, and improved outcomes. Some personal care may be required.

Applicants should demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in supporting children and young people with additional support needs.
  • Available to work evening and weekends.
  • Have a good working knowledge of the issues impacting on children, young people, and families living with additional needs
  • demonstrate an ability to carry out the duties outlined within the job descriptions and person specifications provided.

A full driving licence and access to a car for work purposes is required for this post

We have a range of posts varying from 5 hours to 30 hours and would invite applicants looking for part time, full time or flexible work.
