How will you do this?
Provide high quality and robust Form F Assessments for prospective foster carers, which leads to approval of competent and professional foster carers at panel.
Actively engage in own lifelong learning by keeping abreast of legislation and best practice within the services we provide.
Providing a tailored and individualised support package to the foster carers whilst maintaining records and embedding best practice.
Devise and deliver learning events for the CHT community. (Leadership skills).
Participate in the duty system, accurately recording referrals as they come in.
Build relationships with foster carers by providing emotional support, professional supervision, building confidence and resilience and enabling foster carers to exhibit best practice in their role. (Leadership skills)
Contributing to professional meetings such as Team Around the Child Meetings, Hearings and LAC reviews to inform decisions.
Participate in the on call system to provide a 24-hour professional support system to our foster carers and young people.

Practical Experience
· Experience of undertaking comprehensive Social Work assessments
· Experience of supporting vulnerable individuals
Qualification(s)
· DipSW, CQSW, Degree or Msc in Social Work
Knowledge and Skills
· Good working knowledge of relevant legislation and care standards
· Ability to communicate effectively
· Excellent recording and reporting skills
· Ability to prioritise workloads
· Ability to build relationships with key partners
· Knowledge of Child and Adult Protection issues
· Knowledge of GIRFEC and the SHANARRI wellbeing outcomes
· A commitment to keeping The Promise
Personal Qualities
· Commitment to the Continuous Learning Framework in accordance with SSSC
· Work in accordance with SSSC codes of practice
· Ability to engage in our culture of Growth Mindset
· Understands the need to maintain confidentiality
Any additional job requirements
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft package
· Registered Social Worker with SSSC
· Participation in our 24 hour on call rota system
· Member of PVG Scheme or ability become a member of PVG Scheme, with satisfactory Scheme Record and/or Scheme Record Update
· Ability to work evening and weekends as required
· Current full driving licence, with no significant endorsements.
It would be great if you have
· Experience of facilitating Training
· Have a knowledge of fostering services
· Post qualifying Child Protection or Vulnerable Adults Protection certificate
· A good understanding of Social Work theories to influence underpinning practice
· An interest in continuous improvement in relation to service development
Experience of working with a case management system
Benefits Package
The full-time salary is £31,980-£33,780 DOE per annum including on call allowance.
A stakeholder pension scheme is in operation.
Staff are entitled to 32 days’ annual leave plus 4 public holidays per annum (pro-rata for part-time staff).
Recognition of long term service by awarding an additional 5 days’ annual leave allowance after 5 years’ service (pro-rata for part time staff).

Staff also have access to pool cars to undertake their duties, or alternatively mileage allowance is payable based on the prevailing HMRC rates.
