Central Scotland Valuation Joint Board covers the Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling Council areas. The Assessor for the Valuation Joint Board is responsible for compiling and maintaining the Valuation Roll for Non-Domestic Rates and the Valuation List for Council Tax. The Assessor is also the Electoral Registration Officer for three Councils (Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire) and in that capacity is responsible for maintaining the Register of Electors and Absent Vote Lists. The Board employees approximately 45 people and our office is at Hillside House, Laurelhill Business Park, Stirling.

We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Valuer to work within our Valuation Team.

Applications are invited from members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with significant post qualification experience for Rating purposes and a good working knowledge of the law and practice of Valuation for Rating and Council Tax.

Duties will include the survey and valuation of a wide range of property for Rating purposes, the survey and valuation of domestic property for Council Tax, the negotiation of appeals with ratepayers and professional agents, the presentation of evidence before the Valuation Appeal Committee and training and development responsibilities of valuation team members.
