Central Scotland Valuation Joint Board covers the Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling Council areas. The Assessor for the Valuation Joint Board is responsible for compiling and maintaining the Valuation Roll for Non-Domestic Rates and the Valuation List for Council Tax. The Assessor is also the Electoral Registration Officer for three Councils (Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire) and in that capacity is responsible for maintaining the Register of Electors and Absent Vote Lists. The Board employees approximately 45 people and our office is at Hillside House, Laurelhill Business Park, Stirling.

We are looking to recruit a Technician or Trainee Technician to work within our Valuation Team.

Applications are invited from candidates with experience in the property industry, in particular in the inspection and measurement of properties.

Consideration will also be given to candidates without experience, but who meet the entry qualifications for a HNC in Construction Management, and are willing to study toward a qualification while doing on the job training.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the survey of property for rating and Council Tax purposes, and for maintaining the Assessors property records.
