This is an exciting opportunity to support the lead and development of a new service. This service is a pilot to build a multidisciplinary team around 3 primary schools in Musselburgh East. This projected named ‘Our families’ will provide intensive whole family support at early intervention stage.

As well as supporting families you will be building relationships with the 3 main primary schools in Musselburgh East and developing a small team who will be part of a package of support available to families. The Our Families team will provide intensive family support, employability support and money advice. We will be working with families to build their resilience by working in a therapeutic way, coordinating other relevant services around them and strengthening their links within the community.

You must have experience of working with children and families within the community. You also need a degree level qualification in areas such as Social Work, Community Education, Social Pedagogy, Psychology, or other relevant qualification at SCQF level 10.

This is a fixed term post of 35 hours per week until March 2021. Hours to be worked flexibly to suit the needs of the families (evenings and occasional weekends as required).

Closing date: Friday 31 January 2020. It is anticipated that interviews will be held on Wednesday the 12 February 2020.

The selection process will include seeking PVG Scheme information.
