To implement and monitor the fitness class and health provision that Fife Sports & Leisure Trust has to offer. Working collaboratively with the internal and external stakeholders to scope out potential programming, creating and developing of new programmes that meets the needs and aspirations of the communities and key target groups, in relation to health and physical activity.

To be an ambassador of the FSLT brand and raise the profile of FSLT as a market leader within the health & fitness industry.

Requirements

Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

Responsibilities

• Managing employees to achieve work objectives
• Managing the self employed instructor database
• Supporting the fitness class programme by influencing Managers to make changes to achieve attendance and income targets
• Testing and implementing new fitness class products, whilst co-ordinating the current programme
• Sharing best practice across all venues to ensure the delivery of safe and effective fitness class programme
• Building new, and maintaining current partnerships with NHS Fife, Health & Social Care Partners, Fife Council, third sector organisations and fitness industry partners e.g. Les Mills, REPs/CIMSPA
• Monitoring and evaluating the performance of all the physical activity interventions/fitness classes to ensure that they are delivering on their key outcomes and programmed effectively
• Contributing to and promoting continual service improvement (programming) advocating a compelling ‘vision’ of what can be achieved and encouraging solutions that are sustainable in the longer term

The Individual

Management qualification – ILM – Certificate of Leadership & Management (level 3) or equivalent

Level 4 special populations’ qualification (BACPR) or PSI

Ability to travel throughout Fife

Experience of working in the development of the health and fitness sector
