Do you want to keep Scotland beautiful? Are you interested in helping people understand the challenges facing our environment and signposting them to information on how to take practical action to combat climate change, reduce litter and waste and protect the places we care about?

If, so, we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced communications officer to join our small and busy team.

What the role is

Our Communications Officer will play a key role within our Corporate Services Team to support the implementation of our Communications Plan. Working across the charity to actively support our wide ranging operational, trading, and fundraising activities, our officer will also contribute to planning, scheduling and evaluating content on our website and social media accounts.

What you’ll need to have

We’re looking for someone who thrives on working to deadlines and can manage multiple internal and external projects. You’ll help us deliver our Communications Plan, in particular you will write and place proactive stories for the media and deal with incoming media enquiries, contribute to our website content and strategy, curate our social media channels and support our internal communications.

You will have experience of a wide range of communications channels, tools and evaluation approaches. You’ll be experienced in helping identify the right channels for the right audience while managing relationships with colleagues to ensure our stories are told in the best way possible.
