What is the job function?

Kibble are looking to fill an immediate opening for an experienced Electrician, to join our 24/7 multi-function maintenance team. You will be responsible for repairing, installing and upgrading our electrical systems across our Paisley Campus and Community services. The post includes an allowance to undertake on-call duties and you will be provided with a Kibble vehicle. You will work with both residential and commercial clients, so you must be able to diagnose and repair electrical wiring problems in a variety of homes and commercial buildings, such as outlets, lighting, servers, and electronic equipment connections. Our ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of various types of electrical networks, display excellent communication skills, and be able to work on their own initiative, at times in demanding circumstances.

Main Duties:

  • Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
  • Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Perform general electrical maintenance.
  • Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate of testing devices.
  • Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
  • Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
  • Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
  • Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
  • Good knowledge of various test equipment.

What qualification and experience are we looking for?

  • Completion of full electrician apprenticeship.
  • Be qualified to 18th Edition level.
  • Posses or be willing to be trained to obtain certification to carry out Electrical Testing and periodic Electrical Installation Reports.
  • Posses a valid driver’s licence.
  • Experience of working as part of a construction team on large and small projects.
  • Be able and willing to multi-task when required.
