Snow Sports Party Host

Newmilns Snow and Sports Complex is a dynamic and evolving organisation dedicated to changing people’s lives. We help people develop confidence, motivation, and employment skills through snow sports. We work with children and adults, schools and youth groups. The most direct benefit of our work is delivered to disadvantaged or hard to reach groups. To achieve this, we offer recreational skiing and snowboarding as well as children’s parties.

Our Party Hosts meet and greet our guests on arrival and look after them during their visit. They confirm activities booked, their duration, location and safety requirements. Safety briefings are delivered for tubing sessions and guests supervised at all times. Slope space and ringos are set up appropriately and any problems are recognised, dealt with confidently and escalated where necessary to ensure parties are fun and safe. Our staff are role models to others whilst looking after our guests whether teaching ski and board or hosting our parties always in a safe and fun environment.

You don’t require snow sports experience, we ask that you are enthusiastic, friendly and comfortable with communicating face to face with a wide range of people. This would include the adults booking the parties and parents attending with young children as well as the young party guests. You should;

• Be able to make parties fun whilst retaining responsibility for safety and ensuring sessions run to time.
• Be reliable and proactive.
• Enjoy being outdoors and have an interest in sport, health and wellbeing.
• Be committed to equality and NSASC’s vision and mission.
• Be available to work weekends and holidays.

We can offer the following;

• Free slope access.
• Shadow different staff, to develop a broad understanding of different disciplines and roles within the centre e.g. ski/board/rental.
• Access to Development Programme – funded work/ training scheme.
• Access to funded training courses e.g. First Aid training and ski/board development courses.
