The NHS Grampian Endowment Fund exists to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of people in Grampian. They use their resources to enhance NHS provision, but not substitute it, by investing in projects which promote better physical health, mental health and wellbeing. To keep pace with the modernisation and delivery of healthcare, the charity is about to undergo significant change in terms of its strategy and vision.

The Endowment Fund has strict criteria to make sure that donations are only used to enhance the services that NHS Grampian provides. Everything the Endowment Fund supports must be for the benefit of the patients. Their patients are at the heart of everything they do.

As part of NHS Grampian Endowment Fund’s period of growth, they are looking to introduce a new Fundraiser (Supporter Engagement) to strengthen the income generation arm of the charity. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a charity which is determined to maximise its input to the health of the people across Grampian through increasing grant giving which is innovative, supports preventative health interventions and is community focused. The main focus of the role is to cultivate and develop the charity’s database, adopting a more planned approach and pro-actively fundraise across multiple income generation streams. You will work with colleagues to strategically identify areas of need and create targeted campaigns and strategies to raise funds.

The new Fundraiser (Supporter Engagement) must have experience in fundraising or possess a fundraising qualification. You should have experience-based knowledge of charities, as well as the ability to identify opportunities with stakeholders. In order to develop a wider variety of income streams, you will be confident and comfortable with public speaking, able to present to a variety of stakeholders, as well as planning and organising events to win over hearts and minds.

NHS Grampian Endowment Fund is looking for a capable and pro-active people person, with strong written and verbal communication skills that you can utilise in this customer focused role. Your time management and planning skills should be excellent, and you should hold strong values as well as being passionate about both the NHS and fundraising.

This is your opportunity to be part of something big from its inception. The successful candidate will be joining a new team with a fresh vision and direction, working on a new strategy aimed at propelling the NHS Grampian Endowment Fund forwards. Along with this, you are offered a secure job within an arm of the NHS, where a job is for life. You will also receive a generous 7.3% employer contribution towards your pension.
