Leisure Attendant Ice (2 posts) (14 hours variable*)NLL 6/18
Nominal Salary £8.76 to £11.28 per hour
Based in The Time Capsule, Coatbridge, your main task will be to assist our customers within this busy sports facility and ensure that all ice users adhere to ice rink rules and health and safety procedures at all times. You will patrol and monitor the ice pad and work within the skate hire area issuing, cleaning and maintaining skates as required.
You will be a competent skater with excellent communication and customer care skills. Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
As a requirement of these posts, the successful candidates must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) membership through Disclosure Scotland. If the successful candidates are currently a PVG Scheme member the cost of a "Scheme Update" of £18 is met by NLL Ltd. If the successful candidates are not a PVG Scheme member the fees for PVG membership of £59 is shared - the successful candidates will pay £41 and NLL Ltd will pay £18.
* As a variable contracted employee, your hours of work are variable as per the weekly rota issued to you. You will be required to work a minimum of 14 hours each week. You will be required to work additional hours up to a maximum of 37 hours per week when authorised and necessitated by the needs of the service. Due to the nature of a variable hours’ contract, there is a requirement for you to be flexible in terms of the hours you are available to work and the venues you are available to work in. You will be expected to work in any venue within North Lanarkshire if required, however, every effort will be made, where possible, to ensure that staff work in cluster sites in either the north, central or south of the area. Please note that variable contracted employees are entitled to all North Lanarkshire Leisure Terms and Conditions of Service on a pro rata basis.
