Professional Lead for Therapy

(Physiotherapist – Occupational Therapist – Speech and Language Therapist)

The Scottish Centre for Children with Motor Impairments (SCCMI) under the leadership of Professor Patrick Salter has identified an exciting agenda to fulfil its vision of being acknowledged as a centre of excellence for the therapeutic and education provision of children affected by neurological conditions. The SCCMI is based in central Scotland, is a national and specialist organisation funded directly by the Scottish Government and is focused on providing the highest quality integrated services for children/young people affected by cerebral palsy and related conditions, through an unique range of programmes and services for children/young people (from birth to 19 years) who reside in all parts of Scotland.

To fulfil its vision, SCCMI seeks to appoint a dynamic, progressive, positive, solution-focused therapist (either a physiotherapist, occupational therapist or speech and language therapist), to provide exemplifying leadership related to integrated and collaborative multi-professional team working of a team of health professionals (including physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists) to contribute to service development and shape therapeutic delivery. To be part of this exciting development, you will be an individual who embraces change and development, and: possess either an honours degree or pre-registration MSc in one of the therapy professions; substantial leadership potential; significant experience working in the field of paediatrics or neurology; commitment to inter-professional working; excellent written and oral communication skills; an enthusiastic and dynamic approach; a strong team-working ethic; the ability and desire to contribute to research; and have undertaken extensive CPD,
