Your new role

Sense Scotland are currently seeking a Database Stewardship Officer to work within our fundraising team and lead on our Raisers Edge CRM database ensuring it is accurate, updated and maintained in order for us to provide a high level of support across all income processes and sensitive fundraising management information. As a key member of the fundraising team, you will be required to communicate effectively and positively with our well-respected supporters of donations and ensure that information is received based on their journey so far, along with regular thanks communicated to show our appreciation/recognition for the support Sense Scotland received from them. As part of your role you will be responsible for inputting all donations received, reconciling all income from a variety of different channels, including all online fundraising platforms and bank statements while ensuring the accuracy of GDPR and Gift Aid data is managed. You will be liaising with the rest of the fundraising team and the finance team providing them with data analysis and reports related to the donor database/payments received as and when required.

 What you will need to succeed

  • Excellent IT skills across a range of software packages, particularly in Raisers Edge and MS Excel
  • Essential you have used the Raisers Edge Database system
  • Desired that candidates have completed the NXT Fundamentals exam/Blackbaud Certificate, however this is not essential
  • Demonstrable skills in using a CRM system.
  • High degree of numeracy with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to manage a varied workload including good time management, working to deadlines.
  • Understanding of privacy and data protection issues and legislation and their application to the use of supporter data.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team as well as the ability to work pro-actively, using initiative to solve problems.
  • Strong customer service focus with confident, respectful and professional manner and capability to deal with a wide range of people pleasantly and positively by telephone, email and in person and respond effectively to user needs.
  • The desire to improve the Raiser’s Edge database and provide documents on process and system training
