Job Description

The South East of Scotland Transport Partnership (SEStran) is the statutory Regional Transport Partnership for the South East of Scotland. SEStran encompasses eight local authorities: City of Edinburgh, Clackmannanshire, East Lothian, Falkirk, Fife, Midlothian, Scottish Borders and West Lothian. Within the partnership area there is a huge diversity of transportation issues, from urban congestion to rural public transport and from active travel to major air and sea links. SEStran aims to address these issues and work towards a more sustainable and efficient transport network. SEStran contributes to a varied range of transport projects and events as well as partnership working with various organisations.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Support Officer, with excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills, to support the SEStran team. The ideal candidate will be proactive, motivated, enthusiastic and committed to providing efficient, effective business support in a professional manner. Candidates should possess a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and be educated to HND level or equivalent in a relevant subject.

The successful applicant will contribute to the effective delivery of a high-quality administrative support service, and perform a broad range of duties including: co-ordinating and supporting designated committees, forums and working groups, arranging meetings and room bookings; co-ordinating papers, drafting agendas and taking minutes; maintaining and pro-actively managing actions and ensuring that all relevant arrangements are made so that a high-quality service is provided; manage records relating to the functions of SEStran, in line with legislative requirements, ensuring the integrity of data entered and recorded.
