We are currently looking for a Project Manager within the Facilities Development Team who will develop and provide professional and technical advice and support, working on a number of exciting projects supported from sportscotland’s investment programmes.
The Facilities Development Team work with partners to develop a network of sports facilities at local, regional and national levels that are accessible, affordable and of high quality, which facilitate increased participation and improved performance.
As the Project Manager, you will be advising internally to sports development colleagues, and externally to local and national partners, clubs and community organisations, so you should be an effective communicator, able to directly influence and negotiate, with strong relationship and partnership development skills.
You will manage projects supported from sportscotland’s investment programmes such as Sports Facilities Fund (SFF), Cycling Facilities Fund (CFF) and Transforming Scottish Indoor Tennis Fund (TSIT), so you should have relevant project management experience including budgets and/or funds, and ideally will have a good knowledge or keen interest in sport.
We are looking for someone with knowledge of sustainable design and construction, and experience of retrofitting existing buildings to improve energy efficiency through a fabric first approach. You should also be degree-qualified in a relevant area such Architecture, Building Surveying or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience, and have current membership of a relevant professional body.
