St Mary’s Kenmure is a secure facility that offers a controlled, safe and secure environment for the care and education of young people who are referred from the Courts and Children’s Hearings. Young people from all over Scotland and England come to St Mary’s. We care for 24 young people, in four house units each housing 6 young people

Each young person is entitled to and will receive a high standard of care from a team of experienced and qualified staff who strive to meet their needs and ensure their health and safety. We also offer a wide range of academic and vocational subjects to allow our young people to learn and develop during their stay, along with a variety of recreational facilities including a seven aside football pitch, gymnasium, fitness suite and a swimming pool.

If you are passionate, enthusiastic and invested in working with vulnerable and disadvantaged young people and their families and you want to do all you can to optimise their well-being and life chances, this position will provide you with the opportunity to drive forward and innovate the models of care and provisions necessary to ensure best practice service delivery.

St Mary’s Kenmure is a dynamic environment and you will be involved in the delivery of a multi-modality service that ensures individualised formulations and interventions are developmentally, trauma, mental health and risk informed. Our team currently includes a Consultant Clinical Forensic Psychologist, an Assessment Officer and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, Nursing, Programmes and Social Workers and embodies true multi-disciplinary working and holistic formulations. We also work closely with partner agencies including all statutory services (health, social work, police, etc.), third sector provisions, courts and other legal organisations.

If you have relevant experience and are dedicated to helping children and young people recover from the impact of their adverse life events and to make safe choices going forward, this position will provide you exciting and varied opportunities to become part of a service that is striving to provide best practice in caring for children within our setting.

The salary for this post is £39,000 to £45,000 , based on 37 hours per week. The shift pattern will be 5 days over 7 days including weekends, some evenings and public holidays.
