About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as one of our Network Engagement Coordinators. As part of the Network Development Team, you will help to deliver Sustrans Paths for Everyone vision along with the active travel policy goals of the Scottish Government.

More specifically, you’ll deliver projects for the Network Engagement Programme which aims to increase people’s interaction with the National Cycle Network (NCN) and empower communities to harness its benefits.

Using your experience and understanding of the issues surrounding active travel you will work in partnership with artists, public bodies, businesses, third sector agencies and community groups to commission innovative artworks, interpretation and other enhancements to the NCN in Scotland.

You will also have the opportunity to draw on your passion for sustainable travel and help us with public engagement events.

This role will require occasional travel across Scotland to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans. We offer true hybrid working, a flexible mix of working from home and office-based working in either hubs in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

About you

As someone with excellent communication skills, you will build successful working relationships with a diverse range of project partners.

You will be somebody with experience in project management and delivery, in working with local authorities and in engaging people through art.

We will look for your experience of commissioning artworks, working with under-represented groups and empowering individuals with protected characteristics.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team where you can make a big impact and where we value the contribution and expertise of everyone.

Sustrans has a long-term commitment to being a charity for everyone - reducing inequality, valuing diversity, enabling inclusion and ensuring all people are treated with dignity and respect.
