Senior Engineer

£30,750 per annum (Ref: SUS2362)

37.5 hours per week – based in Edinburgh

This is an excellent opportunity to lead on the delivery of innovative cycle and walking infrastructure as part of Sustrans engineering programme in Scotland, developing and progressing the feasibility, design, contract preparation, procurement and construction through the delivery of practical active travel projects. This role will also include providing highway engineering advice and designs for community led urban realm schemes.

With a minimum of an HNC in civil engineering or equivalent, or previous experience in a related field, you will have experience of highway engineering design as well as the design of cycle and walking facilities. Experienced in project development and delivery, you will be IT literate, an experienced report writer, have experience of the preparation of Bills of Quantities and construction estimates and experience in public procurement guidelines. Your strong communicate skills and ability to build successful working relationships will be crucial to your success in this role, as well as your knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and a commitment to the promotion of sustainable transport.
