Are you a time served Electrician or Highway Electrician looking for a permanent position with excellent benefits?

Tayside Contracts are seeking to employ an Approved Electrician OR Highway Electrician within the Perth & Kinross area at Ruthvenfield Depot, Ruthvenfield Road, Inveralmond Industrial Estate, Perth.

In these roles you will provide installation and maintenance services for public lighting installations, other electrical street furniture and building electrical work.

Approved Electrician

You will be a time served electrician and hold a relevant CSCS (health and safety) qualification and a relevant IET Regulations certificate. Whilst certification of current IET Regulations is desired, previous editions would be considered with appropriate training provided to the successful person.

A current driving licence, Category B, is essential and Category C1, C or C+E is desirable. A current Drivers CPCP for HGV licence is also desirable.

Salary*: £25,524.45 - £27,936.06 per annum (£13.23 - £14.48 per hour), grade 7.

Highway Electrician

You will hold an SVQ Level 3 in ‘Installing Highway Electrical Systems’. If you are employed at Grade 7, there is a requirement to carry out building electrical work and to work on various public event installations.

A current driving licence, Category B and Category C1 is essential e. A current Drivers CPCP for HGV licence is also desirable.

Salary*: £25,524.45 - £27,936.06 per annum (£13.23 - £14.48 per hour), grade 7.

£23,112.84 – £25,215.76 per annum (£11.98 - £13.07 per hour), grade 6.

· Standby Payment –£123.28 per week when on standby (it is a contractual requirement that Approved Electricians and Highways Electricians participate on a stand-by rota).

Working Patterns

You will be required to work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

You will be required to participate in a stand-by rota, which is currently 1 in 4.
