ASSISTANT FLEET ENGINEER

Tayside Contracts is seeking to employ an Assistant Fleet Engineer based at our head office at Soutar Street, Dundee.

The role will primarily involve managing the Hire Desk, performing fleet compliance audits with our operational units and workshops and assisting the Fleet Engineer with the procurement and disposal of a diverse fleet of vehicles and plant for both Tayside Contracts and our external customers. You will be required to provide engineering support and develop fleet efficiency and compliance initiatives, rolling out good practice.

You will have served a recognised and relevant apprenticeship as a vehicle or plant mechanic and hold a relevant City & Guilds 381, parts 1, 2 & 3 or equivalent C&G or SVQ qualification.

A current driving licence, Category C is essential and Category C+E is desirable.

Salary : £33,260.89 - £36,406.62 per annum rising to £34,264.11 to £37,505.31 on 1 April 2020.

*Salary placing is dependent on skills and experience.

Working Patterns

You will be required to work 37 hours per week over 5 days, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility over working pattern may be possible.
