Job Description

West Dunbartonshire Leisure are looking for sports specific to coaches in the folllowing sports are Gymnastics, Football, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball.

Candidates should have a minimum UKCC level 1 qualification (or equivalent) or be working towards one. Candidates should also have experience coaching children of various ages in club, school or community settings.

Candidates should hold at least one sports coaching qualification and have previous experience working with children and young people. The qualification you hold, along with your experience, will determine your eligibility to be considered for either lead or assistant coach positions. The job descriptions and requirements for both levels are attached for your review.

Any hours worked will be mutually agreed on an as required basis. Rate of Pay: Lead Coach £11.97 per hour, Assistant Coach £10.48 per hour.

 

 

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

Responsibilities

The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are "spent" under the provisions of the Act.
