To support us on this journey, we have an exciting opportunity for a Demolition Officer to join our Regeneration Team as we work to improve and sustain the communities we serve.
Wheatley Homes Glasgow, Scotland’s biggest social landlord, has invested over £1.3 billion refurbishing and upgrading over 70,000 homes. We have regenerated communities and built thousands of new homes – with more in the pipeline.
The investment work and new-build programmes carried out by our Registered Social Landlords – Wheatley Homes Glasgow, Wheatley Homes South, Wheatley Homes East and Loretto – together with schemes supported by our charitable trust, Wheatley Foundation, means we can support hundreds of opportunities for people from our communities to access jobs and training.
The Regeneration Team provides services across Wheatley Group to drive real economic and social benefit through communities, often providing a springboard to transform people’s lives.
The initial focus of the role will be the £73 million regeneration of Wyndford and the demolition of four 26-storey blocks. This has been identified as a strategic priority for the Group and will be one of the largest regeneration initiatives in Scotland. Future projects will be across Group, including Dumfries and Galloway.
A professional graduate qualification in the relevant discipline or equivalent work experience is essential.
