Lived Experience Support Worker

Our vibrant service in Argyll and Bute provides support to people concerned about their own or someone else's alcohol or drug use. All of our work is carried out in the communities we serve. These posts are specific outreach posts for the Bute and Cowal area to engage with people at most risk from drug and / or alcohol related harm.

What we’re looking for

We are seeking to recruit people who have lived experience of drug and alcohol use who are looking to support others on their recovery journey and make a difference within local communities. The ideal person will be passionate, friendly, non judgemental and committed to learning new skills and becoming an established part of our highly skilled team. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to undertake the SVQ Level 3 award in Social Services and Healthcare.

We have 2 roles and we can offer full time (37.5 hours) or part time (22.5 hours) per week. The roles are fixed term to 31 December 2024.

Interviews are planned to be held on 30th May 2022.
