New Casual Work Opportunities in Edinburgh!!

Our Retirement Housing Service, Saunders Court and Brookwell Court are currently looking for Casual Managers and Assistants to support cover requirements for planned and emergency leave. This would be a great opportunity for someone who would like to have more flexibility around their working arrangements and or gain experience in social care.

Bield is one of the largest providers of housing and support services to older people in Scotland and everyone plays an important role in making sure that our services improve the lives of older people in Scotland.

Casual Retirement Housing Manager

Excellent written, numerical and verbal skills, as well the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with tenants, relatives, colleagues and other professionals are considered essential requirements for this position.

Experience of working in housing, social care or health services or to have demonstrable personal or volunteer experience is essential, through which a thorough understanding of the needs of older people and services provided to older people has been gained.

Casual Retirement Housing Assistant

You will be responsible for undertaking a range of cleaning duties to ensure that internal communal areas are clean, hygienic and meet the standards expected by our tenants and visitors to the development.

Additional cleaning tasks such as cleaning vacant flats and or external pathways of the development may be undertaken periodically. You may have the opportunity to be involved in other activities within the development including providing general assistance and support to tenants while on duty and supporting the manager with property related tasks.
