About The Role

Community Integrated Care is recruiting for Advanced Support Workers in Glasgow!

We offer industry-leading rates of pay - starting at £12.00 per hour, as well as both full-time and part-time roles, with flexible working patterns available.

Applicants for this role must hold a full UK driving license.

We are recruiting a team of Advanced Support Workers to work with a young man with an acquired brain injury to support him to live independently in his own home in Glasgow and access his local community. He is a massive football fan and season ticket holder. Prior to Covid, he played pool and attended the gym. He enjoys music and can recite various song lyrics and enjoys a singsong. He is very technically minded and prior to his accident did many woodwork projects. He has a keen interest in lego and has built various Star Wars models. He also enjoys playing dominoes. He has his own car and tends to go out for a drive on most days.

As an Advanced Support Worker you will work with him through his recovery at home, support positive changes in his life and help him realise his full potential and achieve his personal goals. Putting him at the centre of everything you do, you will provide 2:1 support in all aspects of daily living, including intimate care tasks, social and emotional support and assisting him with everyday tasks such as medication, finance and cooking.

The ideal people to join his team would be open-minded and able to enjoy a bit of banter, but also be able to set appropriate boundaries when necessary. Trust is very important here, so the ability to communicate openly and honestly and remain calm under pressure is vital.

The shift patterns are currently 9am - 11pm or 9am – 9am (includes sleepover)
