The Role


You'll become part of a friendly, fun team who supports four individuals with different support needs to live in their own shared home and one individual who lives in her own home nearby. As a Support Practitioner, you'll not only support with all aspects of daily living, you’ll also assist them to take part in hobbies and activities both within the home and out in their local community. Some of their hobbies and interests include arts & crafts, music, baking and walking.


About You


You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all of the practical skills you'll need, We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too.


What we need you to bring: -

  • A caring and compassionate attitude
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Confidence in the use of computers
  • The ability to cook
  • Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity


As the people we support already have barriers with communication, it's essential that you have an excellent grasp of written and spoken English.


Shift Patterns


As we're dedicated to providing the best support, tailored to the needs of each individual the shifts will include early mornings, evenings, weekends, sleepovers and public holidays.


Our sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours and you will receive an additional payment of £96 for each sleepover you work!


* Please note that we are unable to work any of our contracted posts around a university or college timetable.
