The Service

Our Services provide care and support to individuals with learning disabilities. We provide two accommodation-based services within the town of Alyth, and an Outreach Service covering the local area.

The individuals we support have a wide range of needs and abilities, and we work in a person-centred way to assist them to achieve their outcomes.


The Role

As a Support Worker you will:

  • Deliver a high standard of care for individuals in-line with their outcomes plans
  • Provide holistic daily living support to individuals, including assistance with cooking, cleaning, budgeting and personal care (including intimate personal care)
  • Provide support and encouragement to enable individuals to participate in and enjoy leisure, social and other meaningful activities


You Will

  • Have a positive flexible attitude
  • Be a good communicator, both written and verbal
  • Have good time-keeping and organisational skills
  • Be able to demonstrate transferable skills relating to care
  • Have the right values, behaviours and attitude to work effectively with individuals who require care and support
  • Hold an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or the willingness to undertake study to achieve this
  • Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
