Kingdom Support and Care (KSC) supports over 300 people throughout Fife and Forth Valley Area providing high quality and personalised support and care designed to meet individual needs and desired outcomes. We provide support to people with a range of needs in their own homes, including those with: learning disability, autistic spectrum disorder, complex needs, mental health issues, age related needs, homelessness, drug and alcohol addictions.

Our aim is to support people to have a safe and secure home, to live as independently as possible in their own home, to live as full a life as possible and to be part of their local community. We provide flexible, responsive and person centred support which assists people to live their lives as they wish and to enable them to meet their desired outcomes.

About the Role

This is a new position to support the smooth running of services across Fife and Forth Valley through providing cover for planned and unplanned Coordinator absence. The successful candidate will be covering initially in the Falkirk area for a number of months to cover a planned absence.

As a peripatetic coordinator you will play a pivotal role in providing support and care to a range of individuals over all our services in order for those being supported to live their best lives. Not two of our services are the same however the support we provide is 24/7, with varying levels of needs being supported from drug/alcohol addiction, homelessness, mental health, learning disabilities to trauma.

You will be responsible for the day to day management of the services, including staff performance management, coaching and mentoring, the delivery and implementation of support packages, whilst being the integral link between staff, supported individuals and health professionals. You will assist in contributing to the growth and development of the services, through recruitment, induction and staff training and development.

About You

We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated individual who will be solutions focused and capable of balancing a number of conflicting priorities whilst remaining professional and delivering the highest quality of support.

Sound knowledge of the National Care Standards is essential along with a minimum of 5 years experience within Care and Support, with 2 of these years being at supervisory level and hold an SVQ 3 or above qualification in Care or a related field, in line with the SSSC registration criteria.

You will be required to be flexible and participate in our 24 hour management On-Call system, On call systems are on a rotational basis shared between all Coordinators where each person covers one week on call at a time. Shift work including evenings, weekends and sleepovers may be required

Requirements

  • A current driving licence, business insurance and the use of a car for work purposes are essential.
  • The successful candidate will be required to register with the SSSC and complete an SVQ 4 / Leadership and Management Award / PDA supervision within 2 years of starting employment.
