The Aberdeen Self Harm Service offers a holistic support looking at the mental health and wellbeing of supported people with a focus on self-harm.

The Peer Worker will manage their own caseload to deliver group and one to one support that helps people to build resilience and manage their own self harming. You will support people to set and achieve their own goals through personalised support planning that encourages people to explore difficult feelings; identifying triggers; and learning new coping skills.

You will also provide self-harm awareness sessions to friends, families, and deliver our bespoke self-harm awareness training to partner agencies within Aberdeen city.

Currently this post will include a blended approach of both remote and face-to-face working. This will be delivered virtually through video calls, telephone calls, and holding face-to-face support sessions, either 1:1 or in groups, in community and health care settings across Aberdeen City.
