Personal Assistants (Support Worker) – Edinburgh

Job Purpose

Our Personal Assistants support people to lead full, active and socially connected lives, supporting people to achieve the things that matter to them.

Applicants should have, or be willing to work towards, a qualification meeting the standards required for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

Job Details

We currently have vacancies for Personal Assistants (Support Workers) to join our existing teams within Edinburgh.

We are looking for people to fill a variety of roles, but the majority of our vacancies are for Female Personal Assistants. This can include intimate support, driving, and sleepovers/waking nights.

Although we are an equal opportunities employer we are mainly seeking female applicants for our vacancies in Edinburgh. This an occupational requirement, as per the Equality Act 2010, due to the nature of the work which includes some intimate support. Employee Benefits

· Salary: From 1st April 2024, starting salary £12.10 per hour (£24,538 per annum (FTE)) rising to £12.40 per hour (£25,147 (FTE)).

This includes enhanced learning in person-centred practice, leadership skills, IT and other bespoke training courses.

· SSSC registration paid for by Thistle

· Support to achieve SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
