Senior Administrative Officer, Homecare Service (5849)

37 hours per week, Permanent Post

£28960 to £31,776 per annum (inclusive of £2,742 Distant Islands Allowance per annum)

As Senior Administrative Officer you will have overall responsibility for managing the administration and finance support function of the Home Care service. You will participate in departmental system development and implementation via participation in project groups, liaise with administrative and finance leads in relation to administrative systems and processes. You will be proactive in ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective services in accordance with Best Value practice and engage in a departmental capacity as directed in respect of administrative tasks and supervision duties.

You will have knowledge of services within Community Care along with the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure. It is essential you have ICT skills in relation to Microsoft Outlook, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, PowerPoint and Databases and a minimum of 2 years substantial experience working in an administrative role within a team-based environment.

The ability to work independently and use own initiative is essential along with the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure. You will undertake work that requires attention to detail and proven organisational and planning skills are essential. Strong supervision, skills and the ability to motivate staff are required.

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
