Job Description

As part of the multi disciplinary Architectural Design Service you will provide architectural consultancy services to City Development and other Council Services. Working in a hybrid style, based at home and Dundee House, you will work full time, 37 hours per week. Requirements

You will have an ​Honours Degree in Architecture. You will have RIBA Part III and ARB Registration, or working commitment toward obtaining ARB/RIBA Pt 3.

Responsibilities

You will provide a complete range of architectural services to the Council and its service departments and to external public agencies, as directed by the Architectural Services Manager. You will represent the Architectural Services Manager on construction projects and maintenance projects emanating from the Division and to ensure compliance with professional standards and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations as appropriate.

The Individual

You will have experience in the role of Architect and or Contract Administrator, good all round design ability, sound and extensive knowledge of building construction techniques and detailing, familiarity with contract law and contract conditions, competent Autocad skills, knowledge of Health and Safety legislation including CDM2015 with the ability to run and guide architectural projects from inception to post completion. The ability to work with minimum supervision, to work with people in other professional disciplines and deal directly with clients is essential. You will also have effective time management to achieve project objectives skills, be computer literate, good negotiating skills at all levels, and have good presentation skills. You will have the ability to undertake site visits and surveys, including working at height, confined spaces, etc.
