Job Description

Based at Registrars Office, you will work full time, 37 hours per week. You will be required to work regularly at weekend and evening weddings for additional payments.

Requirements

You will have Certificate in Law and Practice of Registration.

Responsibilities

Assist in the computerised registration of births, deaths, marriages, civil partnerships and stillbirths in Dundee City area and conduct civil ceremonies.

The Individual

You will be an experienced user of FER and SFHS registration systems and also experienced in use of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Office 365.

You will have the ability to learn quickly and work unsupervised within a dedicated team.

You will have good organisational, communication and numerical skills and have the ability to work under pressure. You will have good presentation skills required for civil ceremonies.

You will have pleasant, friendly and outgoing nature and must enjoy working with the public. You will have ability to deal with sensitive and emotional issues, due to the nature of enquiries from the public.

You will hold current driving licence.

A Basic Disclosure Scotland Check is required.
