Based at Jack Martin Way working in a city wide team, you will work 37 hours per week.

You will have 60 relevant credit points towards first year of social work degree (one of HNC in social care or social sciences, K100, K101 or DD100).
You will provide supervisory and support services and carry a caseload of appropriate cases. You will work alongside and under the direction of a senior or qualified worker to carry out specific tasks.
You will work with older people with a variety of needs including dementia in the community. Your role will include assessments and arranging individual support and interventions. You will be required to work in a multi disciplinary fashion. You will have experience of working with relevant service user groups.
You will have good oral and written communication skills, an understanding of issues affecting relevant service group and good planning and organisational skills. You will have a commitment to maintaining high standards of care.
You must be able to work flexibly between 8am - 8pm.
These posts are considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
