Requirements
To apply and be considered for these posts you must be a resident of East Ayrshire and must be aged between 16 and 24 years old. If you are care experienced or have a disability, you can apply up to the age of 29.
There is 1 full time temporary post available. The admin base for this post is The Opera House, 8 John Finnie Street, Kilmarnock. The start date for this post will be August 2024.
The hours of work are 35 per week. The rate of pay for this post is £7.49 for 16 - 20 year olds and £10.18 for 21 - 22 year olds and £10.42 for 23+ years.
Further Education (FE)
As part of this modern apprentice programme, the successful candidate will participate and complete the following qualifications:
Year 1 – SCQF Level 6 in Digital Technology - Software Development
Year 2 / 3 – HNC in Computing (Computer Science); this course will be undertaken on a day release basis at Ayrshire College (Kilwinning Campus). Course costs / travel expenses will be met by the Council.
Salary Year 1 – salary will be as per the Council’s modern apprentice programme
Year 2 / 3 – Scottish National Living wage (dependant on attendance at FE College)
