You will work within the Council’s Parks and Environment teams to implement Falkirk Council’s Community Food Growing Strategy including assisting in the development and implementation of a series of thematic food growing action plans. You will provide professional support to communities on their existing community growing projects and to develop new community growing project opportunities.  You will also support the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Council’s biodiversity and sustainable grass management pilot project.

You will have previous experience of environmental project management and development, fund raising and community engagement. An interest in horticulture, environmental management, biodiversity and health and wellbeing would be an advantage.

With well-developed project management, IT, report writing, negotiation and communication skills, you will have a demonstrable awareness and understanding of current policy and good practice relating to community growing, sustainable greenspace management and related environmental issues.

The post is full time temporary for a fixed 2-year period.
