Job Details

Working as part of the new Attendance Support Unit (ASU) and reporting to the HR Team Manager, this new position will contribute to the development and delivery of attendance management strategies across the Council. This will include:

  • Responsibility for leading and managing on a wide range of projects from initialisation to implementation.
  • Managing the development and delivery of training programmes to enhance managerial competence.
  • Preparing internal communications and draft reports for Council Committees.
  • Providing support and supervision to team members.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders to inform future ASU priorities.
  • Substituting for the HR Team Manager at internal and external meetings and working groups, as required.

Specific areas of responsibility will be dependent on experience and whole team fit.

The Person

  • Graduate calibre with supporting professional qualification (e.g. CIPD).
  • Full membership of a relevant professional institute.
  • Experience of working within an HR Service.
  • Experience of collaborative working and maintaining effective relationships.
  • Experience of developing and delivering employee development programmes.
  • Project management skills.
  • Analytical Thinking.
  • Organisational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication, numeracy and report writing skills.
