Health and Safety Advisor (Readvertisement)

Job Description

Reporting to the Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability Health and Safety Manager, you will be joining a team committed to the further development of our health and safety management system, and the promotion of a positive health and safety culture.  The role will involve working as a member of a team that provide services in a multi-disciplined setting, you will provide, advice, guidance and support on all health and safety matters, attend committees and meetings, including the assistance in the delivery of a range of Health and Safety training courses, you will also work with colleagues across, and at all levels of, the organisation.  You will monitor and review and assist in the implementation of the Service’s Health and Safety management standards and objectives across the service.  Relevant practical experience in a similar role and in the management of Health and Safety, a NEBOSH General Certificate and current driving licence are essential.  Experience of working in a multi disciplined organisation and membership of OISH is desired and a thorough knowledge of related hazards, risks and controls will provide a distinct advantage.
