Job Description

Glasgow City Council, Fleet Services seek a time served LGV Mechanic /DVSA Inspector/Tester to inspect and test a varied fleet ranging from Light Vehicles to Large Goods Vehicles. You will carry out Class 4, 5 & 7 MOT tests /checks. The successful candidate must have previous experience of working on a variety of vehicles, have a logical and methodical approach to their duties, possess good communication skills and be able to work to tight schedules on their own and as part of a team. A sound working knowledge of the Department of Transport's vehicle inspection and MOT standards/legislation is essential as is a  current driving licence with Class C or D entitlement. IT skills and knowledge of testing equipment is desirable.

Hours of work will Monday - Wednesday - 22.00 - 0800, Thursday 22.00 - 07.00t.
