Job Purpose: To be part of a Trades Team working together to deliver an efficient and responsive service. The post holder will undertake a wide range of plumbing tasks including repairs, refurbishments and upgrades to a range of Council properties and residential housing.
The Highland Council Work is bringing together Building Maintenance and Property
Services in a bid to reduce the reliance on external contractors. This is an opportunity
where Trades people can build upon their existing skill set. The team will be responsible for carrying out both housing and non-housing repairs and maintenance processes to a select area of the Council portfolio.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a small team that will be pivotal in
streamlining efficient use of in-house Trades Staff for local schools, properties and
housing in the two pilot areas – Lochaber and the catchment area for Inverness Royal
The successful applicant should be a team player by nature with good communication
skills and a sound understanding of health and safety. Self-motivation and an ability to problem solve will be required in order to provide all aspects of plumbing work to
properties and housing in the council portfolio area.
