Job Description

Inverclyde Integrated Joint Board (IJB) is seeking to recruit a suitably experienced qualified accountant to undertake the role of Senior Finance Manager who will lead a Finance Team which provides a full range of financial services to the IJB. With a combined Budget of over £200 million the post holder will have a key leadership role and provide expert technical and financial advice to the Health & Social Care Senior Management Team. The post holder will undertake the role of the Depute Section 95 Officer for the IJB. The post holder will also hold excellent experience in managing teams / projects and operate at a senior level in a diverse organisation. They will also be expected to be forward thinking and embrace transformational change and assist in delivering the best outcomes to the people of Inverclyde.

You require to be qualified with current membership of a recognised professional accountancy body e.g. CIPFA; CIMA; ACCA, CAS, CAEW.

Vetting by Disclosure Scotland

If you work in regulated work (children and/or protected adults) you will be subject to obtaining a satisfactory PVG. A small number of posts require a Standard or Basic Disclosure check and the majority of all other posts will complete a Criminal Convictions Form. All disclosure checks are obtained via Disclosure Scotland. If you are the successful candidate you will be required to pay the cost of the disclosure check required for your post.

 

Regulatory Bodies

If your post requires registration with a Regulatory Body such as HCPC or SSSC etc., you are required to obtain and maintain registration including paying any fees for HCPC. As part of the local government pay deal, local authority staff are no longer required to pay SSSC fees.
