Job Description


Working at Midlothian Council’s newest leisure facility your responsibilities will include supporting the Duty Officer in all facility operations, welcoming customers into the facility and dealing with enquiries in person and over the phone, helping set up equipment for community groups and parties and making sure all customers have the best possible experience.  



The jobholder must have excellent communication and customer care skills with some practical experience or demonstration of competency in the use of word processing and standard PC software packages. Reception experience and working with the public is desirable.

Working Pattern:  

Rota 1 – Monday, Wednesday, Friday 17.00 – 21.00 & Saturday 09.00 – 13.00

Rota 2 – Tues & Thurs 17.00 – 21.00, Saturday 12.00 – 17.00, Sunday 13.00 –17.00     

Weeks per year: 52

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.

Based on you working 16.50 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £8,644.14 per annum.
