In order to have the necessary skills to do the job, the Jobholder will need to have undertaken a craft apprenticeship. The Jobholders need to be able to operate the range of workshop equipment and to work with a full range of resources such as wood, metal, plastics and electronics.

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.
Based on you working 36 hours over 39 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £24.995.17 per annum.
Requirements
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.
