An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of North Lanarkshire Council’s Estates Maintenance team. Based at Bonkle Depot, Wishaw you will directly and positively impact on our local communities by working as part of a team ensuring the day to day delivery of an effective and efficient repair and installation service, for a wide range of play area equipment and associated structures. 

You must have moderate relevant working experience, including the repair, removal and replacement / installation of a range of play equipment.  You will have experience of undertaking inspections of play and associated equipment.  You will also have experience of undertaking drainage works and path construction.  Experience of hard and soft landscaping (slabbing and fencing) would be advantageous. 

With an SVQ3 or equivalent level qualification you will have the knowledge and ability to operate a range of tools and equipment including drills.  You will be able to undertake manual handling of heaver type materials.  You require knowledge of Health and Safety at work Act and be able to follow safe systems at work and risk assessments. 

You be motivated, and well organised with a polite and courteous manner.  With the ability to work as part of a team you will also require to be capable of working on your own initiative.  You will have good communication skills with the ability to follow written instructions and update computer systems.

A full driving licence with Categories (B&E) along with the ability to travel across North Lanarkshire is essential to undertake the role. 

Working pattern:

Week 1:  Monday to Thursday 7.15am to 5.00pm
Week 2:  Tuesday to Friday 7.15am to 5.00pm
