Based in the Revenues Team you will report to the Revenue and Benefits Manager (Revenues) and will carry out the tasks associated with running an efficient and effective Revenues service.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the development of processes and procedures with the aim of improving the performance of the Revenues Team which includes Council Tax,

Non-Domestic Rates and Scottish Welfare Fund. You will be responsible for developing procedure manuals, web pages, training modules and for improving how information is obtained from customers.

The post will also assist the Revenue and Benefits Manager (Revenues) in ensuring that there’s an improved customer service experience provided by the Revenue Team. Liaison with internal and external stakeholders will be a requirement.

Moderate experience of working in a Revenue & Benefits environment including experience of administering and processing applications for reliefs, exemptions, discounts or grants and experience of dealing with the public are all considered essential for this role. Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, good communication and time management skills and an ability to work in a pressurised environment are all also considered essential qualities. An SVQ3/HNC or equivalent qualification and the IRRV Benefits Technician would be considered desirable.

The successful candidates will be subject to a criminal records check provided by Disclosure Scotland.
